If you’re planning a visit to the Obergurgl area, be sure to check out the highest mountain pass of the Eastern Alps– the Timmelsjoch High Mountain Road. At an altitude of 2500 meters, you’ll experience the absolutely stunning natural scenery of the Otztal Valley, including unprecedented views of the Alps, steep rocky slopes and mountain springs. Negotiate exhilarating bends while you take on the open road, whether you’re in your car, on your motorcycle or your mountain bike.
Opening times
Due to the nature of the exposed high altitude terrain, the road is only open from the beginning of June until the end October. Opening times are from 7am until 8pm.
