The Chalet, at 11º East is situated right on the slopes, yet also in the heart of village life in Obergurgl. The resort connects to Hochgurgl via a modern gondola or ski bus, and nearby Soelden can easily be reached with frequent free buses or taxi if you want to try out the glacier.

Getting to the resort is easy by plane, train or car and Obergurgl benefits from short transfer times. The quickest is to head for Innsbruck Airport and then it’s less than an hour and a half to the Obergurgl/Hochgurgl ski region.

By Train:
From Geneva, Munich , Zurich, direct trains to either Otztal Bahnhof or Landeck Zams. Taxi transfers from there are easily arranged.

By Car, Driving to Obergurgl
The route on leaving Innsbruck airport is to travel West on the B171 to the A12 motorway, then follow signs for Imst and continue along the A12 for about 40 km, then take the Haiming/Ötztal exit and follow the B186 for around 50 km through Soelden to Obergurgl.

The journey from Salzburg airport is 276km and from Munich airport 310 km, and takes around three hours. The best route is to follow the motorway south to Kufstein and then the A12 motorway as far as the Haiming/Otztal exit, then the B186 as above.

An obligatory road toll permit (Vignette) is required to drive on Austria´s motorways and if renting a car in Austria the motorway toll permit sticker should be included. Otherwise, permits are available at every petrol station.
