Just this past week, one of the Chalet at 11° East’s go-to resources for all things ski related, www.welove2ski.com, named Obergurgl as one of the top places to ski in Austria this Easter 2017! Obergurgl earned a spot at the top of the list for its family-friendly, crowd-free and snow-sure reputation.
The article focuses in on Austrian resorts with reliable snow and explains, “the snow’s not nearly as deep as it is in France at the moment – but all the high-altitude resorts have had a substantial top-up of 35cm to 135cm over the past ten days. Our forecast suggests it’ll be snowing on and off all week.”
We couldn’t agree more as the forecast is indeed calling for sunny skies and cooler conditions. The 5- day forecast reads:
A high-pressure area will depart eastward throughout the weekend, the next high will spread across our regions from the Atlantic throughout the upcoming week and bring early-spring mild air masses. Before that, somewhat cooler conditions are expected at the beginning of the week. However, late winter weather is not expected, as bright sunshine and small amounts of clouds perceptively clear skies will prevail. The sunny conditions will continue next week, sun worshippers will find sunny conditions.
